Still Have Questions?
Our experienced safari specialists are here to help you create a journey that's uniquely yours.
A fly-in safari allows you to maximise your time in the wilderness while travelling comfortably between destinations by light aircraft. Rather than spending long hours on the road, you'll enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Africa's landscapes and arrive refreshed at each lodge. Fly-in safaris also provide access to some of the continent's most remote and exclusive wildlife areas.
Bush Bound Africa Safaris designs bespoke journeys throughout Southern and East Africa, including:
- Botswana
- Kenya
- South Africa
- Tanzania
- Zambia
- Zimbabwe
Each itinerary is tailored to your interests, travel style and preferred pace.
Yes. Every itinerary is individually designed around your travel preferences, whether you're celebrating a honeymoon, planning a family holiday, photographing wildlife, or ticking off a once-in-a-lifetime bucket-list adventure.
Africa offers exceptional safari experiences throughout the year, with each season providing something unique.
- June to October: Excellent wildlife viewing during the dry season.
- November to March: Beautiful green landscapes, newborn animals and outstanding birdwatching.
- April and May: Fewer visitors, pleasant temperatures and excellent value in many destinations.
Our safari specialists will recommend the best travel dates based on the destinations and experiences you're seeking.
We recommend booking 6–12 months in advance, particularly if you plan to travel during the peak safari season or over Christmas and New Year. Luxury lodges and charter flights often have limited availability and can fill quickly.
Your personalised quotation will clearly outline what is included. Most itineraries typically include:
- Luxury accommodation
- Scheduled or private charter flights
- Airport transfers
- Daily game drives and safari activities
- All Meals
- Park and conservation fees
- Services of experienced professional guides
International flights, visas, travel insurance and personal expenses are generally excluded unless otherwise stated.
International flights are usually quoted separately unless specifically requested as part of your itinerary. We are happy to advise on the most suitable flight options to complement your safari.
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all guests. Your policy should include emergency medical expenses, medical evacuation, trip cancellation, baggage cover and personal liability.

- Maximum luggage allowance is 20 kg (44 lbs) per person, including hand luggage and camera equipment.
- Soft-sided duffel bags are required.
- Hard-shell suitcases cannot be accommodated on most charter flights.
Specific luggage requirements will be confirmed before departure.
We recommend packing:
- Neutral-coloured clothing
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Wide-brimmed hat, Sunglasses, and Sunscreen
- Insect repellent
- Light fleece or warm jacket
- Camera, binoculars, and universal travel adapter
- Personal medications
A detailed packing guide will be included with your final travel documents.

Our travel specialists will recommend family-friendly properties suited to the ages of your children.
The destinations we recommend are well-established safari regions with experienced guides and high safety standards. Throughout your journey, you'll be accompanied by knowledgeable professionals who prioritise your comfort and safety. As with any international travel, we encourage guests to follow local guidance and take sensible precautions.
While wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed, many of the destinations we feature offer outstanding opportunities to see the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo—as well as an incredible diversity of other wildlife.

Many luxury lodges offer complimentary Wi-Fi in guest areas or suites. However, internet speeds may be slower in remote wilderness locations. For many guests, disconnecting from everyday life is part of the safari experience.
Currency requirements vary by country. Major credit cards are widely accepted at most luxury lodges, while a small amount of local currency or recent US Dollar notes can be useful for gratuities and incidental purchases.
