Set off on a journey through two countries in Africa, Namibia and Botswana. Explore the Namib Naukluft National Park, climb some of the world’s highest sand dunes, visit the beautiful granite rocks in Spitzkoppe, experience the Himba people and culture, go on safari in Etosha National Park or see wildlife in Moremi Game Reserve. This 16 day tour is your chance to explore these beautiful places and experience an adventure of a lifetime!
Day 1
Today we venture deeper into the Namib Desert. Our destination is the dune fields. Long dusty roads farmlands offer us an insight into the vastness of rural Namibia. The red dunes and the slowly changing landscapes entertain us during our drive to Sesrim.
Day 2
Sossusvlei Dunes and Sesriem Canyon. Opt to climb up the breathtaking Dune 45. Enjoy a visit to Sossusvlei, the world’s largest sand dunes, up to 300m (984 ft). Visit the Sesriem Canyon, a small canyon typical of the area. 4×4 transfer to Sossusvlei
Day 3
Bushman camp have an exquisite walk as one of the best highlights of the trip. This afternoon we join a local expert for an educational desert excursion. Tonight we empty the red sand from our shoes and spend the night under the magnificent desert stars, knowing that we have spent a full-day enjoying the wonders of this harsh land. Day 4
Swakopmund Reluctantly we leave the Namib behind and after a stop to mark our crossing of the Tropic of Capricorn, we drive on the Atlantic coastline. Today civilisation awaits. We make a stop at the Walvis Bay lagoon, hoping to catch a glimpse of the flamingos that feed in the shallows. Arriving in Swakopmund we will have the opportunity to book some of the many adventures on offer.
Day 5
A day to enjoy adrenaline adventures and other optional activities.. An opportunity today to explore the German style town at your leisure. Not to be missed is a delightful range of German inspired treats. Swakopmund is a small town but with all the convenience that you need. Also catchup on the internet let them know how beautiful Africa is.
DAY 6
Spitzkoppe we make our way to the massive granite formations of Spitzkoppe which tower 700 metres above the desert plains below. The rock art indicates the San people who lived here many years ago. A local guide will have the opportunity to show some examples of the San’s rock art. A night under the stars awaits us.
Day 7
Tradition and tribe is one of the values of the people from Africa. Himba is one of the tribes that make up the history of Namibia and today we get to be part of the Himba culture.
Learn and experience the culture, interaction with the Himba people.
Day 8
Rising early this morning we drive to the Etosha National Park. Etosha is the venue for some of the most unique game viewing experiences in Africa. We enter the park and begin with our first game drive as we make our way to camp.
Day 9
Our second day in Etosha allows for a full day to continue our exploration of the park. No day on safari is ever the same and the suspense before that special sighting is the motivation that keeps our eyes wide open. We explore the edges of Etosha Pan in search of the abundant wildlife that occurs in the park.
Day 10
Escape to Botswana. The campsite is something to look forward to. Outstanding features like a bar and the river swimming pool.
Day 11
Set on the banks of the beautiful island safari camp in northern Botswana, Maun is the third largest town in this spectacularly scenic southern African country. Maun is the start of the Okavango Delta and as a result, has developed into a busy city that is considered Botswana’s tourism capital. Maun Game Reserve and Moremi Game Reserve are home to hippos, lions and rhinos.
Day 12/13
Situated in the east of the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve ranks as one of the most beautiful reserves in Africa. It covers more than 4871 square kilometres of pristine wilderness, and the varied terrain includes savannah, winding waterways, and dense forest. This diverse ecosystem supports an incredibly wide spectrum of wildlife, ranging from large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra, to the rare sitatunga and lechwe antelope, lion, cheetah and packs of wild dog in the open grasslands. The birdlife is prolific and includes most of the 550 bird species recorded on Botswana’s national bird list.
Day 14
Explore the Kalahari Desert. Learn fascinating survival skills from the local San Bushmen on an optional walk and choose to enjoy a traditional bushmen dance in the evening.
Continue through the eastern part of Namibia and cross into Botswana before travelling into the heart of the Kalahari.
Day 15
Transit countryside to Windhoek. Enjoy local food at the famous Joe’s Beer House. Party and dance as we enjoy the last day before you say goodbye to Africa and Bush Bound.
Day 16
Transit to airport.

What to bring:
- On board the truck, you will have an assigned locker that is approximately 35 x 35 x 80 cm.
- In the summer, bring light, cotton, easy to dry clothing.
- In the winter, you will want to bring a fleece jacket and wool hat.
